Standard Precautions Training - COVID19- 2 Hours
Participants will learn: Prevention of transmission of infectious agents (COVID-19), PPE and guidelines for use (specifically gloves and masks), using standard precautions to break the chain of infection, and how to handle COVID-19 cases.
Understanding and Managing Diabetes- 1 Hour
Topics Covered: Better understanding of multidisciplinary approach to diabetes care, enhanced confidence and understanding of management of diabetics, Improved critical analysis and interpretation of data.
Dietary Needs and Sanitation For Long-Term Care- 3 Hours
This Class will cover the following: determining nutritional needs, menu planning, food preparation and food sanitation. At the end of the class, the student will receive a course certificate for 3 hours of Dietary Needs Training.
Client Group For Long-Term Care- 3 Hours
This course will cover the following groups: Intellectual disability, Downs Syndrome, Autism, Epilepsy, and Alzheimer's disease.
Recognizing and Responding to Challenging Behaviors- 2 Hours
This class includes topics on: Recognizing and responding to aggressive, destructive behaviors to self and others; along with strategies that work in supporting a person.
Resident Rights/Abuse and Neglect- 3 Hours
Topics covered include: Explanation of the rights of a resident living in a WI Residential Facility . House rules, coercion, retaliation, confidentiality, restraints, self-determination and grievance procedures are also covered.
